EPA Leaves Climate Leaders Frustrated

The tone of the EPA during the recent Climate Leaders’ meeting left those in the program feeling frustrated and mistreated.  The EPA’s decision to end the program and look for NGOs to take the lead on voluntary reporting seemed insufficient to many members.

Paul Bier of Groom Energy stated, “Large companies remain extremely frustrated. During the Q&A session, many large companies (SC Johnson, DuPont, Merck, Ingersoll Rand, and UPS) publicly expressed disappointment and frustration. Private conversations were even more heated. No one spoke publicly in support of EPA decision or the wind-down process.” in his post on Practical Sustainability.
